How to apply your graphics kit?

You just ordered your custom motorcycle graphics kit from Pro Rider Design? Great, your 50cc, enduro, or motocross is about to sport a brand new look! But before you enjoy the result, a key step awaits you: applying your graphics kit.

Rest assured, you don't need to be a professional to achieve a clean application without bubbles or wrinkles. You just need to follow best practices. Here is our complete step-by-step graphics kit installation guide, for an easy and successful application of your graphics kit.

Equipment needed before starting your graphics kit installation

  • Your Pro Rider Design graphics kit
  • A clean, lint-free cloth
  • A degreaser such as brake cleaner (or isopropyl alcohol)
  • A plastic squeegee or a rigid card
  • A hair dryer or a heat gun (low heat)
  • A precision cutter (optional but useful)

1. Thoroughly clean the plastics

First of all, make sure the surface is perfectly clean. Even if your bike is new, dust, grease, or residue can interfere with the vinyl's adhesion.

Clean your plastics with soapy water, then dry them thoroughly.

2. Degrease the surface

This is a step that is often overlooked… and yet essential! After cleaning, apply a degreaser to the entire surface (such as brake cleaner or isopropyl alcohol). This guarantees optimal adhesion of your graphics kit.

3. Unpack and identify the pieces

Your graphics kit contains several stickers cut for each part of your bike (fender, side panels, number plates, etc.). Before applying, do a visual check to know which piece goes where.

Every graphics kit for 50cc or motocross bikes ordered on our site is sent with a printed installation guide — don't overlook it!

4. Work at room temperature

Avoid extreme temperatures. It is best to work in a space between 18°C and 25°C, without humidity. This prevents the adhesive from sticking too quickly… or not enough.

5. Gently heat the vinyl

Before applying the sticker, quickly run a hair dryer over the part. This softens the vinyl and makes application easier, especially on curved areas.

6. Apply gently and without stress

Peel the sticker from its backing little by little. Apply it gently, starting from the center toward the edges. Use a plastic squeegee to push out the air.

Tip: if there is a bubble, heat it gently and smooth it outward.

7. Seal everything with a little heat

Once all the stickers are applied, run a hair dryer over them to reactivate the adhesive and strengthen the bond. Pay extra attention to the edges.

8. Let it set

Wait at least 12 to 24 hours before washing the bike or riding in extreme conditions. The vinyl needs time to bond properly.
